One Chicken
(2021)
Originally only found in the jungle of Southeast Asia thousands of years ago, today, the chicken is the most widespread bird on earth. Modern livestock farming has put it on number one of the vertebrates used on land, where chickens take up a share of over 90%.
As humans, we usually only come into contact with this animal when it is already dead, divided in parts. The work „One Chicken“, showcases the complete skeleton of a chicken, depicting each bone in an individual photograph. This presentation seeks to show this animal in its complexity and individuality.
